NewbsRadio Copyright Infringement Podcast

Ohhhhhh boy!  This week we are really taking nerding out to a new level.  If you listened to our Paul’s Boutique Podcast you’ll know just how FUN talking about Copyright Infringement can be.  So BUCKLE YOUR SEATBELTS!  We are going to start off with a time when an American Republican Presidential candidate got in hot water for using a song in their campaign without permission and end it with a time when an American Republican Presidential candidate got in hot water for using a song in their campaign without permission entirely via pairs of people who have sued each other over copyright infringement.  *gasp*  We’ve brought in a ringer, as we do, this time it’s copyright lawyer Tim Murphy from Murphy and Company.  If you are being sued over copyright… stuff… give them a call if you are in the YVR area.  God knows we have.

As our call to action states, we want to hear about your favourite copyright infringement incident, real or theoretical.  Our listener Brodie N. suggested that, and this is purely theoretical, that the greatest t-shirt design ever to infringe on copyrights would be one with an Ewok photograph taken from an official Star Wars marketing photo, wearing KISS make-up (probably the Gene Simmons’ bat shape) and a t-shirt with the Olympic rings on it.  Yeah that might ruffle some feathers Brodie.

Take care.
