Michael Bolton Pirate Love

This new Lonely Island video has finally presented a way for me to give a crap about that no-talent ass-clownMichael Bolton.   After all, the best thing that guy has done up till now is smash up that printer in Office Space.  And that was just a character NAMED Michael Bolton.  Watch below, if you don’t agree then you should consider getting an MRI.

Seems like there is a lot of Pirate Love going around these days.  It was the photo I dug up from last post that got me thinking, could I somehow link together Michael Bolton and the original Pirate Lover, Johnny Thunders?

I am flying by the seat of my pants right now so if I don’t figure out a way for this connection to be made, I won’t finish the post.  Easy as that, but I don’t want to rob you of the joy of watching that Lonely Island video which makes this post worthwhile to begin with.

[insert 2 hours of research]

Okay, got it.  Michael Bolton was originally in a hard rock band (they opened for Ozzy Osbourne for chrissakes) called Blackjack with soon to be Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick who replaced Ace Frehley in 1984.  Kulick played lead guitar on Don Johnson‘s 1989 solo record “Let It Roll” on the track “Your Love is Safe with Me“.  Also playing rhythm guitar on that same track was ex-Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones who played on Johnny Thunders‘ 1978 solo record “So Alone“.

So, just in case anyone ever asks you how to put your arms around a memory, just tell them it takes a little time, love, and tenderness.
